This group is designed to: 

  • to bring parents together to share their joys and struggles with others who understand and care
  • to learn about school and community resources and to develop skills to better advocate for children with disabilities

For any parent or guardian of a child with special needs attending a school served by the Northern Lights Special Education Cooperative.

 

Facilitated by Jim Kneeland. Jim has been the parent of a son with disabilities for 32 years. His experiences along the way have given him the perspective he needs in his work as a Disability Social Worker and parent group facilitator.
